In June 2025, I decided to surprise my dad for Father’s Day. I’ve been creating illustrations for special occasions as an excuse to draw a little more. For this one, I recreated the other side of a photo we took in 2004 at Zapallar beach, when I was eight years old and my dad was twenty-six.
The original photo was taken from behind, so all you see is the sea in front of us. I thought it would be sweet to imagine and illustrate the side we never see in the photograph.
